Wolfgang Berthaler

Wolfgang Berthaler (born January 27, 1956 in Flintsbach am Inn ) is a German local politician and district administrator in the Rosenheim district .

Career

After his secondary school leaving certificate, he completed an apprenticeship as a banker at Sparkasse Rosenheim and then continued his education as a Sparkasse business economist; He is currently Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sparkasse Rosenheim-Bad Aibling.

Berthaler is a member of the CSU . In 1996 he became the first mayor of the municipality of Flintsbach a. Inn chosen. He has been a member of the Rosenheim district council since 2002, where he held the position of spokesman for the mayor until 2014. In March 2014 he was elected to the district administrator for the district of Rosenheim. He won the runoff election with 58.92% against Sepp Hofer ( Free Voters ). He is the successor to Josef Neiderhell (jun.).

Due to an accident in his office, Wolfgang Berthaler has been unable to work since July 2018 and is permanently represented by the deputy district administrator Josef Huber.

voluntary work

From 1980 to 1997 Berthaler was first in command of the Flintsbach a.Inn volunteer fire department. Since 2003 he has been the first chairman of the Christian social welfare organization Degerndorf-Brannenburg-Flintsbach a. Inn e. V.

Berthaler has been married since 1977 and has two daughters.
