Wolfgang Bulfon
Wolfgang Bulfon (born January 2, 1946 in Klagenfurt ) is an Austrian politician and member of the European Parliament for the SPÖ . On January 18, 2007, he replaced Maria Berger in the European Parliament . There he is a member of the Social Democratic Party of Europe .
Live and act
Bulfon worked as a journalist from 1966 to 1968 before moving to the catering trade and from 1969 to 2007 as an innkeeper and hotelier. 1979 to 2004 Bulfon was a member of the district committee of the district organization Villach of the SPÖ. From 1995 he was chairman deputy of the same. He held the office of SPÖ community party chairman Velden am Wörther See from 1979 to 1997. He was a member of the Carinthian Landtag from 2003 to 2004. In addition to his political activities, Bulfon was chairman of the board of trustees of the Kärntner Wirtschaftsförderungsfonds between 1993 and 2003 and sat on the supervisory board of Kärnten Werbung GmbH from 1989 to 2001 and on the supervisory board of Veldner Tourismus GmbH from 1995 to 2007 .
