Wolfgang Drobetz

Wolfgang Drobetz (born February 26, 1971 in Neunkirchen ) is an Austrian economist . He is a member of the editorial board of the academic journal Financial Markets and Portfolio Management .

Life

Drobetz studied commercial science at the Vienna University of Economics and Business and graduated in 1995 with a master's degree . He then studied at the University of Virginia and graduated in 1996 with a Master of Arts in Economics . In 1997 Drobetz did a doctoral degree in economics at the University of St. Gallen . His doctoral thesis dealt with the topic of Global stock markets: Time-varying expected returns, consumption, and the business cycle and earned him a doctorate with the highest distinction.

Wolfgang Drobetz has held the Chair of Corporate and Ship Finance at the University of Hamburg since 2006 .
