Wolfgang E. Goehler
Wolfgang E. Goehler (born October 24, 1940 ; † June 21, 2009 ) was a German brigadier general and state councilor of the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen .
biography
Goehler studied economics. He was a professional soldier and rose to become brigadier general. He was responsible for the supply force and at the same time commander of the army supply school in Grohn , which is now in Osterholz-Scharmbeck.
From 1997 to July 31, 2000 Goehler was under the CDU Senators Ralf Borttscheller and Bernt Schulte State Councilor to the Senator for the Interior of the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen. His successor was Kuno Böse . Goehler was particularly committed to the reform of police training and the introduction of a two-tier career for the police, the development of a fire safety concept and the intensification of cooperation between the police and the judiciary.
Honors
Goehler was awarded
- 1985 with the Cross of Merit on Ribbon of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany ,
- 1986 with the Legion of Merit of the United States of America ,
- 1991 with the Cross of Honor of the Bundeswehr .
