Wolfgang Exler

Wolfgang Exler (born February 23, 1965 in Menden (Sauerland) ) is a German police officer and politician ( CDU ).

Exler attended a secondary school . He joined the CDU in 1989. After being a member of the Junge Union Menden from 1991 to 1993 , he moved into the Menden City Council for the first time in 1994. In the state elections in 2010 , Exler ran for a direct mandate for the first time. With 43.9% he won his constituency and thus entered the state parliament . In the early elections in 2012 he achieved 38.3 percent in his constituency and lost his direct mandate to the SPD candidate Inge Blask , who received exactly 281 more votes with a first-vote share of 38.8 percent. After leaving the state parliament, Exler works again as a police officer.

Exler is married and has three children.
