Wolfgang Franz (politician)

Wolfgang Franz (born November 24, 1945 in Schleswig ) is a German SPD politician and former member of the Hamburg Parliament .

Life and work

After school, Wolfgang Franz completed an apprenticeship as an electrical mechanic . Among other things, he worked there as a designer . This was followed by a second degree in law and business administration . He works as an independent lawyer.

Wolfgang Franz was a member of the Hamburg Parliament in the 16th electoral term from 1997 to 2001. For his parliamentary group , he sat on the Constitutional Committee, the Urban Development Committee and the Legal Committee. From 2001 to 2004 he was chairman of the constitutional committee and was instrumental in initiating the new electoral law and “people's legislation”.
