Wolfgang Jenssen

Wolfgang Jenssen (born October 8, 1942 in Stolpmünde ) is a German politician ( SPD ).

Life and work

After attending primary school, he graduated from St. Matthias Gymnasium in Gerolstein in 1963 . He graduated from Cologne with a degree in economics in 1968 .

Since 1969 he worked for Deutsche Revisions- und Treuhand AG. He has been a tax advisor since 1973 and an auditor since 1977 .

Political party

Jenssen has been a member of the SPD since 1968. He was chairman of the Jusos in Daun and in the Trier subdistrict and chairman of the SPD district association in Daun.

MP

Jenssen was elected to the Rhineland-Palatinate Landtag for the first time in the 1971 state elections and was a member of it for two terms from May 18, 1971 to May 17, 1979. In the 7th and 8th electoral terms he was a member of the Committee on Economics and Transport and the Legal Committee.

From 1969 to 1974 he was a member of the Daun municipal council . He was a member of the Daun district assembly . From 1989 to 1994 he was first mayor of Daun and since 1999 mayor of Daun.
