Wolfgang Kemmer

Wolfgang Kemmer (* 1966 in Simmern / Hunsrück ) is a German author and editor of detective novels, short stories and historical novels.

Life

Wolfgang Kemmer grew up in Wiebelsheim . He studied German , English and Anglo-American history in Cologne and published his first crime novels while he was still a student. His master's thesis on the detective novels by the German author Jörg Fauser was also published in book form. After completing his studies, Kemmer worked as a trainee and then as a lecturer in a Munich literature agency. From 2006 to 2014 he was in charge of the short crime podcast for Joker's worldview, which he launched together with Matthias Stöbener .

Under a pseudonym he wrote many short thrillers for various magazines and newspapers and edited a number of anthologies . His short story "The highest good" was nominated in 2011 for the Agatha Christie detective award. Kemmer is a member of the crime writers association Syndikat . Today he lives as a freelance author, editor and lecturer in Augsburg.
