Wolfgang Kirchhoff (born January 20, 1959 in Dortmund ) is a German lawyer and judge at the Federal Court of Justice .

After completing his legal training in 1986, he was employed as part of military service in the Federal Ministry of Defense . In 1989 he worked as a lawyer in a Düsseldorf law firm. His areas of activity were corporate law , contract law, competition law and commercial legal protection , as well as antitrust and press law . In 1994 Kirchhoff moved to a large international law firm and initially continued to work in Düsseldorf. In 1996 he was accepted as a partner and since 1997 has been a so-called “Resident Partner” in Brussels.

On November 2, 2004, he was appointed judge at the Federal Court of Justice. There he was initially assigned to the X. Civil Senate responsible for patent and utility model law, work contract law and travel contract law . At the beginning of 2007 he moved to the 1st Civil Senate .
