Wolfgang Lehmacher (born June 4, 1960 in Bonn ) is a specialist author, consultant and entrepreneur. He specializes in supply chain , transport and logistics .

Born in Bonn, he was involved in supply chain projects during his career. The stations of his career in business and international organizations include the positions as President and CEO of GeoPost Intercontinental and board member at GeoPost, the express parcel holding of Groupe La Poste and as Director Supply Chain and Transport Industries at the World Economic Forum .

Career

Lehmacher lived and worked in Paris , Shanghai and New York , among others , where he held managerial positions in commercial companies and international organizations.

Lehmacher began his professional career in 1980 at the German Red Cross in the headquarters for ambulance flights. As President and CEO of GeoPost Intercontinental, he led the global expansion of the express parcel business. Using a model of partnerships and targeted strategic investments, Lehmacher laid the foundations for La Poste's global “footprint” and established the Group's global express parcel network.
