Wolfgang Lehmann (born April 2, 1948 in Cottbus ; † January 31, 1996 ) was a German football player in defense . He played for BSG Energie Cottbus in the GDR league .

Career

Lehmann played in his youth from 1956 to 1963 for his home club BSG Lokomotive Cottbus . He then moved to the youth department of SC Cottbus , where he stayed even after the soccer department was outsourced to BSG Energie Cottbus. He then played from 1967 to 1972 as part of his military service at ASG Vorwärts Cottbus before returning to energy. After his return, Lehmann completed six games in the second-rate GDR league in 1973 and six games in the promotion round. After promotion to the league, he was used 14 times in 1973/74 . He made his debut there on August 22, 1973, when he was in the starting line-up on the second match day in a 3-3 draw against BSG Chemie Leipzig . After the direct relegation, Lehmann played for the second team until 1976 before he moved to the BSG activist Brieske-Senftenberg . In 1978 he returned to his youth club BSG Lokomotive Cottbus. In 1992/93 he was used four times for the second team of what is now FC Energie Cottbus in the state league and scored three goals. Then Lehmann ended his active career.
