Wolfgang Marzin

Wolfgang Marzin , (* 7. October 1963 in Munich ) is February 1, 2010 Member of the Management of Messe Frankfurt GmbH and since 1 April 2010, Chief Executive Officer of Messe Frankfurt GmbH . He thus succeeded Michael von Zitzewitz . Before that (2004–2009) Marzin was chairman of the management board of Leipziger Messe .

Live and act

At the logistics group Schenker AG , Marzin first completed an apprenticeship as a forwarding agent . This was followed by a degree in business administration (1984–1987) specializing in foreign trade. In 1990, he began his career as a project manager of foreign trade fairs at the International Exhibition and Fair Service Munich, joined in 1991 as Group Director for Messe München and after another six years for Fair Dusseldorf . There he took over the management of the subsidiary in the USA . In 2001 Marzin took over management tasks at the "Gesellschaft für Handwerksmessen" (GHM), initially as deputy managing director, and from January 2002 as chairman of the management board.
