Wolfgang Nöth (born October 19, 1949 ) is a former German soccer player .

Sporting successes

Nöth played in the team of 1. FC Schweinfurt 05 in the 1968/69 and 1971/72 seasons in the Regionalliga Süd. After changing clubs, he played from 1972 at SV Darmstadt 98 , with whom he became champion of the Regionalliga Süd in 1972/73 , but failed in the following round of promotion to the Bundesliga at Rot-Weiss Essen . With the lilies he qualified for the 1974/75 season for the 2nd Bundesliga South. In this, Wolfgang Nöth made his debut on the first day of play against 1. FC Saarbrücken , but was substituted at half time. As a substitute, he was used as an attacking player nine times during the season. After FC Schweinfurt also moved up to the 2nd Bundesliga South in the 1975/1976 season, Nöth played 25 games in the attack during the season, some as a substitute. He scored his three league goals with a goal against FK Pirmasens on matchday 36 and the second and third goal in a 3-0 win against FSV Frankfurt on matchday 38.
