Wolfgang Pages (born April 15, 1945 in Langelsheim ) is a German SPD politician and former member of the Hamburg Parliament .

Life

Wolfgang Pages attended elementary and secondary schools in Langelsheim and Hamburg until 1961. He completed an apprenticeship as a senior administrative service and then did his military service. Pages initially worked in various offices in the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg until he was appointed technical director of the newly founded public law institution Hamburger Friedhöfe in 1995. He was suspended from his post in 2004 after the prosecution opened an investigation into him for corruption and breach of trust. Although the investigation was discontinued in 2005 due to a lack of suspicion, the official rehabilitation did not take place until 2008. Until he retired from active service, Pages was a project coordinator in the Department of Urban Development and Environment.

Until mid-2007 Pages was chairman of the Arbeitsgemeinschaft Friedhof und Denkmal e. V. (AFD) in Kassel. Currently (2015) Pages is chairman of the Hamburg regional association of the German Forest Protection Association . V. (SDW) as well as deputy chairman of the federal board of the SDW.

Wolfgang Pages became a member of the SPD in 1963. His various political functions included chairing the SPD local association Langenhorn-Nord . In this capacity he was a member of the SPD district executive committee Hamburg-Nord. 1986 and 1987 he was elected as a member of the Hamburg parliament. He was a member of her until 1991.
