Wolfgang Riemann (soccer player)
Wolfgang Riemann (born November 18, 1949 ) is a former German soccer player .
The midfielder began his professional career in the Regionalliga Südwest at Eintracht Trier . Before the 1969/70 season, Riemann moved to the Bundesliga , where he played seven times for 1. FC Köln . From Cologne he moved to 1. FC Nürnberg in the Regionalliga Süd , in thirteen games he scored a goal for the club. He returned from the club via Koblenz-Neuendorf to Eintracht Trier, with Trier he was relegated to the third-class amateur league Rhineland in 1973. In 1976 Trier was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga , with Wolfgang Riemann scoring the decisive goal against Wormatia Worms as captain . In the next season Riemann was a regular player, after that Riemann was only used occasionally in the 2nd Bundesliga.
