Wolfgang Spadiut

Wolfgang Spadiut (born March 21, 1955 in Knittelfeld ) is an Austrian politician ( BZÖ , formerly FPÖ ) and a veterinarian . Spadiut was a member of the Austrian National Council from 2008 to 2013 .

Life

After completing his school education, Spadiut enrolled at the University of Veterinary Medicine in Vienna in 1974 and obtained his doctorate in veterinary medicine in 1981. In March of the same year, Spadiut opened a veterinary practice in Knittelfeld.

From 2000, Spadiut was a councilor of the FPÖ and from 2002 a councilor in Knittelfeld. In the course of the split, Spadiut switched to the BZÖ and has since been a councilor for the BZÖ in Knittelfeld. After the split, Spadiut was also elected district chairman of the BZÖ Knittelfeld and is deputy federal chairman of the senior citizens' platform. In the National Council election in 2008 , Spadiut ran for second place on the BZÖ state list in Styria and was the top candidate in the constituency of Styria West. Spadiut finally moved into the National Council through a mandate from the regional constituency. He was sworn in on October 28, 2008 and was area spokesman for health and animal welfare of the BZÖ parliamentary club.
