Wolfgang Stockinger (born December 9, 1981 ) is a former Austrian soccer player and today's expert on dual careers in sport.

Career

Wolfgang Stockinger began his professional career at the Upper Austrian club SV Ried . In his debut in the Austrian Bundesliga, he scored his first Bundesliga goal just eight minutes after being substituted on.

In July 2006 Stockinger was signed by the Dutch professional club BV Veendam . A short time later he suffered a serious knee injury while training, which resulted in three years of rehabilitation.

After a brief comeback in 2009, he ended his football career in 2010.

After his sports career, the studied social economist devoted himself to the topic of dual careers, in which various areas such as high-performance sports, education, youth, health and the labor market flow together.

Between 2013 and 2018 he was Head of Career Development Austria at the national organization for dual careers KADA. In 2019 he founded TW1N, the first Europe-wide consulting company for dual careers in sport.
