Wolfgang Thielbörger (born April 27, 1934 in Holtensen ) is a German politician ( FDP ). He lives in Göttingen-Grone .

Thielbörger has been a member of the Göttingen City Council , the Grone local council and the administrative committee since 1981 . From 1986 to 1991 he was a member of the district council of the Göttingen district . Thielbörger has been chairman of the FDP parliamentary group since 1994. He is Deputy Mayor of Grone. In the local elections in 2006, Thielbörger received 705 votes and thus won his mandate directly from applicants' votes.

Thielbörger has been a member of the FDP since 1980. In 1994 he was a direct candidate for the FDP for the German Bundestag in the Göttingen constituency.

Civic engagement

Thielbörger is involved in more than 40 clubs. He is, for example, chairman of the animal welfare association in Göttingen, chairman of the fire brigade association Grone and deputy chairman of FC Grone . Thielbörger has been the recipient of the Federal Cross of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany since 2003 .
