Wolfgang Weimar

Wolfgang Weimar (born June 28, 1922 in Flensburg ; † May 17, 1993 ) was a German politician ( CDU ). From 1962 to 1972 he was a member of the Landtag of Schleswig-Holstein .

education and profession

Weimar graduated from school with the Abitur. From 1940 to 1945 he was a soldier and returned kriegsversehrt from the Second World War back. He studied history, geography and Latin and was from 1949 in the higher education service of the state of Schleswig-Holstein. From 1959 to 1969 he was the head of history and political education at the Flensburg seminar.

politics

Weimar joined the Junge Union and the CDU in 1954 . From 1959 to 1961 he was state chairman of the Junge Union Schleswig-Holstein. He was at times a member of the Schleswig-Holstein CDU state executive.

From 1959 to 1962 he was councilor of the city of Flensburg. On December 31, 1962, he replaced a member of the Schleswig-Holstein state parliament. In the following state election in 1967 he was re-elected to the state parliament as a direct candidate in constituency 1 (Flensburg-West). From June 19, 1967 to May 24, 1971, Weimar was the parliamentary representative of the Minister of Education in the state parliament. In the 1971 election he was re-elected as a member of the state parliament, this time via the CDU state list, but left the state parliament on August 25, 1972. From June 28, 1971 until he left the state parliament, he was parliamentary representative of the finance minister.
