Wolfram Timm

Wolfram Timm (born October 29, 1949 in Osterwald / Hameln ) is a German lawyer and professor at the Westphalian Wilhelms University of Münster .

Life

From 1968 Timm studied law in Bochum , Heidelberg and Regensburg . After the first state law examination in 1972 and the second state examination in 1975, he became a research assistant to Marcus Lutter at the Ruhr University in Bochum . There he became Dr. in 1979 with a thesis on "Aktiengesellschaft als Corporate Top". iur. PhD. He then devoted himself to restructuring companies in his habilitation project . In 1984 he completed his habilitation and received the Venia legendi for civil law, commercial and economic law and labor law.

After holding a lecture at the Justus Liebig University in Gießen , Timm accepted a position at the University of Gießen in the 1985 summer semester. In 1990 he moved to the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster, where he has held the chair for civil, commercial and economic law ever since. At the same time, Timm is Managing Director of the Institute for Corporate and Capital Markets Law at the Westphalian Wilhelms University.
