Woody Wright

Woody Wright (born October 10, 1957 , Tennessee ) is an American singer and composer of southern gospel and country music .

Woody Wright began his vocal training in the local church choir and formed a band with classmates while he was in high school. In the following years he was a member of various projects from time to time, and also often worked as a background singer and choir member in record productions by well-known artists. He worked with Michael English , Bill Gaither , Gary Prim , Chonda Pierce and Jeff & Sheri Easter , among others . In 2009 he released two bluegrass albums as a member of the Porchlight Trio , while he had performed with Mike Sykes and David Ponder in previous years. Since late 2001, he has been part of Bill Gaither's Gaither Homecoming Concerts , whose recordings are broadcast and sold nationwide. He supports the development aid organization Food for the Hungry .
