Markus Ressler (born February 4, 1976 in Leoben ) is a former Austrian triathlete .
Career
Markus Ressler was first active in the football club, then came to swimming and began triathlon in 1990. He has started as a professional since 2001. In 2008 he won the half-distance triathlon in Podersdorf.
In August 2009 he suffered a broken collarbone and rib during a training fall and had to take a break.
In May 2013 he won the Vienna City Triathlon on the sprint distance on Vienna's Danube Island .
Markus Ressler started as a professional athlete for the Graz LTC and was trained by Marcel Diechtler . He has not appeared internationally since 2013.
Ressler lives in Graz . He has a degree in sports science and is now a personal coach.
