The World Media Akademie is a German-Turkish series of events for journalist training.

Foundation and goals

The World Media Akademie was founded in 2012 by the media company World Media Group AG. Since then she has been organizing seminars and workshops. The speakers so far have included Sabine Schiffer , Wolfgang Thaenert from the Hessische Landesmedienanstalt and Roland Preuß, editor of the Süddeutsche Zeitung .

The range of topics includes all areas of journalism: print, TV and online journalism as well as public relations and media law . The seminar series is free of charge for the participants. The World Media Group , which also publishes the daily Zaman , is part of a group of companies that is believed to have been influenced by the Gülen movement .

history

The World Media Academy took place in Offenbach am Main for the first time in 2012 . World Media Group AG continues the concept to this day. In 2013 there were additional events for the first time in Berlin on the premises of the private SRH University of Popular Arts , and in 2015 there was a cooperation with the Axel Springer Academy .
