Worlds Apart are an English boy band formed in 1992 by manager Garry Wilson. In Germany, the band was best known for their song Together Baby , which ran in the credits of the ARD early evening series Gegen den Wind .

Band history

After dance and singing auditions , the five boys Steven Hart ("Steve", born February 29, 1972), Schelim Hannan (born July 16, 1973), Patric Osborne (born June 5, 1974), Aaron Alexander James Poole ( "Aaron", born September 20, 1972) and Dan Bowyer (born December 3, 1972) were selected for the band. The line-up of the band changed constantly. Osborne, Poole and Bowyer gradually got out and were replaced by Aaron Leslie Cooper (short: Cal) (born October 9, 1973) and Nathan Moore (born January 10, 1968, successfully with Brother Beyond in the 1980s ). 1997 Schelim Hannan left the group, and Tim Fornara (born April 2, 1977) took his place.

The great success that the manager Garry Wilson had promised himself from the initially multicultural (all founding members came from different cities around the world) music troupe did not last long. The change of the record company from BMG Ariola (until 1995) to EMI (until 2000) could not change that either. The only country in which Worlds Apart were briefly successful was France, where they placed six singles in the top 10 and reached number 1 in the charts with the album Everybody . After an extensive and successful concert tour through France, the group disappeared again into oblivion. A comeback attempt in Germany in 2000 and the singles Language of Love and I Will were unsuccessful. The departure of band member Tim Fornara, who was only accepted in 1997, was announced on the homepage in July 2001.

Worlds Apart shrunk to a trio. Steve Hart, Nathan Moore and Cal Cooper were also there. In 2007 Worlds Apart completed a recording for the French television program Hit Machine and released a new single in France. In 2011 an appearance by the band for the program Les Années Bonheur was broadcast on French television.

On November 7th, 2015, the band performed at the “90s Mega Party” in Ingolstadt with a half-hour show and presented a new song in addition to the well-known songs.
