The Worsley Icefalls are glacial breaks in the Ross Dependency of Antarctica . They are near the head end of the Nimrod Glacier .
The southern group of a campaign carried out by the New Zealand Geological Survey Antarctic Expedition from 1960 to 1961 probably named it after the New Zealand polar explorer Frank Worsley (1872–1943), captain of the research vessels on the Endurance Expedition (1914–1916) and the Quest Expedition ( 1921–1922), both under the direction of the British polar explorer Ernest Shackleton .
