Vosadnik
Wosadnik ( Sorbian "community member, community hymn book") is the title of the prayer and hymn book of the Catholic Sorbs . Michał Hórnik got the first edition in 1889 under the title “Pobožny wosadnik. Modlitwy a kěrlusche za kathskich Serbow. “ (The devout parishioner. Prayers and chants for the Catholic Sorbs.) The hymn book was reprinted in 1900, 1919, 1929 and 1951. A revised edition under the title “Wosadnik. Modlitwy a kěrluše katolskich Serbow ”appeared in 1961 and was expanded in 1977. Another revised edition was published in 2008.
At the beginning of the 20th century, the Cottbus pastor Bogumił Šwjela published a Protestant church newspaper in Lower Sorbian under the title Woßadnik .
