Ms. Wu ( Chinese   , birth name unknown; † 202 ) was the third wife of the Han general Sun Jian . She lost her parents at an early age and lived with her younger brother Wu Jing . When Sun Jian learned of her beauty and nature, he wanted to take her as his wife, but the Wu family opposed this association because they saw Sun Jian as an adventurer and vagabond. When Ms. Wu saw how angry Sun Jian was over this refusal, she asked her relatives, “Why do you want to bring disaster to yourselves because of the love of a young girl? If it turns out to be a bad choice, it's just my fate. ” So Sun Jian wed her.

Ms. Wu gave birth to four sons to her husband: Sun Ce , Sun Quan , Sun Yi, and Sun Kuang . They also had a daughter: Sun Shangxiang . In Luo Guanzhong's novel The Tale of the Three Realms , Ms. Wu plays an important role in the marriage of her daughter to the warlord Liu Bei . She thereby strengthens the alliance between the latter and Sun Quan.
