Paul Rinckleben
Paul Rinckleben (* 1841 in Müuellen ; † September 13, 1906 in Dresden ) was a German sculptor and copper driver .
Rinck life came in 1865 as an assistant in the art foundry of Georg Ferdinand Howaldt in Braunschweig one. In 1883 Hermann Heinrich Howaldt took over the management of the foundry. When the father suffered a fatal accident while performing the Fama for the Dresden Art Academy in December 1891 , his son Ferdinand Adolf was still training as an ore caster.
Long-standing employee and sculptor Paul Rinckleben is to be credited for taking over the foundry as a leaseholder on January 1, 1892 , initially finishing the work that had begun and continuing to manage existing orders independently.
The order situation for the Braunschweig company at the end of the 19th century was favorable, as Wilhelmine monumental monuments were erected at this time , some of which could only be produced in the very spacious Howaldt workshop in Braunschweig.
Rinckleben, however, was primarily an artist; he wasn't a merchant! Financial bottlenecks arose at the beginning of the 20th century, which were alleviated initially in 1903 by joining as a co-partner and the contribution of Hermann's son Ferdinand Adolf Howaldt. In 1906, however, the bankruptcy occurred and Rinckleben broke up. He died a little later.
The workshop building was acquired by Schlaraffia in 1912 and is still used today as a club house, the so-called Okerburg .
