Wu (chin. 吳) or Huainan (淮南) was one of the Ten Kingdoms in China from 907 to 937 . Its capital was originally Guangling and later Jinling . The last king of Wu, Xu Zhigao , declared himself the legitimate successor of the Tang and proclaimed the Southern Tang Empire .
