Wu Chia-ju gained her first international experience at the Junior Asian Championships 2016 in Ho Chi Minh City , where she won the bronze medal with 3.60 m, as well as two years later at the Junior Asian Championships in Gifu , where she won the same height skipped. At the end of August, she took part in the Asian Games in Jakarta for the first time and finished fifth with 3.70 m. The following year she was seventh at the Asian Championships in Doha with 4.00 m. Then she retired at the Summer Universiade in Naples with 3.75 m in qualification.
