Wulf Dietrich Liestmann

Wulf Dietrich Liestmann (born July 15, 1937 in Duisburg ) was a German steel manager.

Life

After graduating from high school, Wulf Dietrich Liestmann studied metallurgy at the Clausthal Mining Academy , where he became a member of the Corps Hercynia in 1960 . After completing his studies, he joined Mannesmann Hüttenwerke AG in 1961. In 1963 he was awarded a PhD from the Clausthal Mining Academy with an industrial dissertation. PhD. In 1971 he was appointed head of mining at the steelworks and in 1972 head of the main technical department, metallurgical plant and pipe works of Mannesmann AG . In 1976 he was appointed to the works board of Mannesmann AG Hüttenwerke AG and in 1978 was appointed chairman. From there in 1980 he moved to the executive board of Mannesmannröhren-Werke AG, where he was chairman from 1981. From 1990 until his retirement he was a general representative of Mannesmann AG in Düsseldorf . From 1977 to 1993 Liestmann was a member of the plenary assembly of the Lower Rhine Chamber of Industry and Commerce, in whose industry committee he participated.
