Root (comic)
Wurzel ( English Fred Basset ) is a comic strip about a dog of the Basset breed , which describes its experiences with masters and mistresses from the dog's point of view in a humorous way with ironic comments.
The strip was created in 1963 by the Scottish comic artist Alexander S. Graham (1917-1991). Since Graham's death, the strip has been supervised by the illustrator Michael Martin and designed according to the ideas of Graham's daughter Arran Caith. The target group are especially dog lovers. The 50th anniversary celebrations took place on July 8, 2013 with Arran Graham in Germany in the LiteraturBistro of the Duisburg City Library .
