Wuyuan (Bayan Nur)
Wuyuan ( Chinese 五 原 县 , Pinyin Wǔyuán Xiàn ; Mongolian ᠦᠶᠤᠸᠠᠨ ᠰᠢᠶᠠᠨ Üyuvan siyan ) is a district that belongs to the district-free city of Bayan Nur in the west of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region in the north of the People's Republic of China . It has an area of 2,493 km² and has a population of 280,000 (2004). Its main town is Longxingchang (隆兴 昌镇).
