The rear Urad banner ( Chinese 乌拉特 后 旗 , Pinyin Wūlātè Hòu Qí ; Mongolian ᠤᠷᠠᠳ ᠤᠨ ᠬᠣᠶᠢᠲᠤ ᠬᠣᠰᠢᠭᠤ Urad-un Qoyitu Qosiɣu ) is a banner of the prefecture -level city of Bayan Nur in the west of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region in the north of the People's Republic of China . Its main town is the large municipality of Bayan Bolig (巴音 宝 力 格 镇). An essential branch of the economy is agriculture, mainly sheep breeding on pasture farms for meat production. The Yinshan Mountains are rich in mineral resources, especially non-ferrous metals such as lead , zinc and nickel , so mining is another economic factor. Oil shale and mineral oil deposits should also be mentioned.
