The Wyck Island ( French Ile Wyck ) is a small island off the Danco Coast of Graham lands north of the Antarctic Peninsula . It is located off the west side of Brooklyn Island in the eastern part of Wilhelmina Bay .

Participants in the Belgica expedition (1897–1899) of the Belgian polar explorer Adrien de Gerlache de Gomery discovered the island. At the suggestion of the expedition doctor Frederick Cook named de Gerlache after Robert Anderson Van Wyck (1849-1918), Mayor of New York City from 1898 to 1901.
