The Wyvern af Ålesund (ex- Wyvern von Bremen ) is a ketch- type sailing yacht that was built in 1992 as a replica of the legendary Norwegian Wyvern (named after the mythological dragon species Wyvern ) from 1897.

The designer of the two-masted sailboat is Colin Archer . The yacht was built as the Wyvern von Bremen by 573 trainees, spread across Europe in an international training project. It was completed on the site of the Bremer Vulkan according to the original plans in steel construction and launched after three and a half years of construction.

In 1992 the maiden voyage to Norway led to a meeting with the original in Stavanger . From 1997 to 2004 the “Foundation for Training Ships” owned this special sailor. When the foundation was dissolved, the ship was transferred to the Clipper DJS association , which looked after the Bremen Wyverns and referred them to association members. At the end of 2008 the boat was sold to Norway, registered in Ålesund and then used for tourism; the ship was named "Wyvern af Ålesund".
