The XII. SS Army Corps was a major unit of the Waffen SS in World War II . It consisted of a general command to which various Wehrmacht or SS divisions were subordinated, and was used on various fronts in 1944 and 1945.
history
The XII. SS Army Corps of the Waffen SS was formed on August 1, 1944 in Silesia from the remains of the combat group von Gottberg and the LIII. Army Corps set up and then subordinated to the 3rd Panzer Army . As of September 1944, there was in the 1st Parachute Army used in the West, later in the 15th Army on the Western Wall and the Rurfront . The corps was wiped out and destroyed in the Ruhr basin in April 1945 .
