Xavier Thévenot

Xavier Thévenot SDB (born December 20, 1938 in Saint-Dizier , Haute-Marne , † 2004 ) was a French religious priest and moral theologian .

Life

He went to school with the Salesians of Don Bosco in Saint-Dizier and attended the oratorio there. He initially licensed himself at the University of Caen . In 1958 he entered the novitiate of the Salesians of Don Bosco and took his first religious vows the following year . After his ordination on December 21, 1968, he initially worked for a time as the novice master of the French province of his religious community. In 1980 he received his doctorate in moral theology with his brother René Simon on " Homosexualités masculines et morale chrétienne ". He worked as an honorary professor for moral theology at the theological faculty of the Institut Catholique de Paris .
