Xeikon , headquartered in Eede in the Dutch province of Zeeland, is a manufacturer of digital printing machines for printing labels and folding boxes as well as commercial printing . The printing machine manufacturer was founded in 1988 by Lucien de Schamphelaere, a former employee of Agfa-Gevaert , under the name Ellith . Soon after, the company was changed to Xeikon. The company has been a subsidiary of the Luxembourg Flint Group , the world's second largest manufacturer of printing inks , since 2015 . From 1996 until its takeover, Xeikon was listed on NASDAQ . Xeikon was involved in the development of the Gloss Enhancement Module , among other things . In 2019 it became known that Xeikon would like to give up its headquarters in Eede in the Dutch province of Zeeland in favor of the existing location in Lier, Belgium . Since 2008, Xeikon has had its headquarters in Eede near the Belgian border.
