The Xiao Jiang ( Chinese 小 江 , English Xiao River / Xiaojiang River ) is a tributary of the Jinsha Jiang (Yangtze) in the northeast of the Chinese province of Yunnan . It rises in the Xundian Autonomous County of the Hui and Yi of the prefecture-level city of Kunming , flows north through Dongchuan and flows into the Jinsha Jiang. It is 140 km long. Its lower course is navigable.
Earthquake area
Earthquakes often occur in the area of the Xiaojiang Fault ( 小 江 断裂带 ) or the Xianshuihe-Xiaojiang Fault ( 鲜 水河 - 小 江 断裂带 ) .
