Xindl X (actually: Ondřej Ládek ; born August 16, 1979 in Prague ) is a Czech singer and songwriter . He also works as a screenwriter under his real name in film and television productions .

Career

Xindl X largely owes its first success to the Internet ; In 2007 and 2008 his songs Styky (German contacts ) and Anděl (German angel ) were among the most played songs on famous Czech internet radio stations . He also won some singing competitions; in 2008 he received the Songwriter Award for his title Dysgrafik at the Porta Festival .

In September 2008 he presented his debut album Návod ke čtení manuálu , from which the song Anděl was nominated by the České hudební akademie (German: Czech Academy of Music ) in the folk and country music category. Two years later he released the album Praxe relativity (Eng. About practice of relativity )

style

Xindl X combines hip-hop , folk, pop, jazz and blues in its music . His lyrics are mostly personal and sometimes ironic. During his live performances he usually plays a guitar with his singing and has an accompanying band for the rest of the instruments .

Scripts

He is the screenwriter of the films Restart (for the short story Upreal ) and 51 kHz , both together with director Julius Ševčík . There are also various talk shows and soap operas .
