Xu Ke

Xu Ke ( Chinese  徐 珂 , Pinyin Xú Kē ; born 1869 in Hangzhou ; died 1928 ) was a Chinese writer and publicist . He wrote an "unofficial" story of the Qing Dynasty, Qingbai leichao 清 稗 类 钞 , which was published in 1917 in 48 volumes. According to the author and UC Irvine professor Yong Chen, the book provides encyclopedic coverage of life during the Qing Dynasty . A collection of many of his works was published under the title Kangju biji huihan 康居 笔记 汇 函 .
