The Yoro Falls ( Jap . 養老の滝 Yoro no Taki ) is with a height of 30 meters a waterfall in Yoro Park , near the town of Yoro in Gifu Prefecture .

The waterfall is located upstream of the Taki Valley and the Tsuta River. The Yōrō waterfall was included in the list of the top 100 waterfalls in Japan by the Japanese Ministry of the Environment .

A legend about the water of the Yōrō waterfall tells the story of a boy who gave the sake- tasting water to his aged father to drink and then became younger again. When the Empress Genshō found out about it, she went to the waterfall to also take a sip of the water.

In the anime film A Silent Voice , Shōya Ishida and Shōko Nishimiya visit the waterfall during a trip to the country.
