Yōta Satō

Yota Satō ( Jap. 佐藤洋太 , Satō Yota * 1. April 1984 in Morioka ) is a Japanese boxer in the super flyweight .

Professional career

In 2004 Satō began his professional career and lost his debut fight. In 2010 he won the Japanese championship. On March 27, 2012 he boxed against Suriyan Sor Rungvisai for the WBC world championship and won by a unanimous decision of the judges. He defended this title twice and lost it in May of the following year to Srisaket Sor Rungvisai by knockout.

In 2013 he led his last fight after 26 wins and three losses.
