Yūichi Inoue ( Japanese 井上 祐 一 , Inoue Yūichi ; * around 1970) is a Japanese jazz pianist .

Yuichi Inoue worked in Tokyo from the 1990s in the band of the drummer Masahiko Osaka , with whom the first recordings were made ( Twelve ; 1994), also with Delfeayo Marsalis ( Musachi , 1996) and in the Kenichi Tsunoda Big Band. After the debut album Blue Requiem (1997, with Yasuhiko Satō and Akira Igawa ) Inoue recorded the album Standin 'Out (Sea Breeze) in 2002 in a quartet with Atsushi Ikeda (flute, alto saxophone), Shō Kudo (bass) and Toru Takahashi (drums) . In 2007 the album Floating Moments (What's New) followed, with Haruhisa Takamichi and Koichiro Taki . In the 2000s he also played with Neil Stalnaker , Shigeharu Mukai , Yoshiaki Miyanoue , Tsuyoshi Niwa ( At the End of the Day , 2013), and others. a. with Randy Brecker . In 2013 he released the album The Core , which he recorded with Yuhei Honkawa (bass) and Yosuke Tamura (drums).
