Yūichi Nemoto ( Japanese 根本 裕 一 Nemoto Yūichi ; born July 21, 1981 in Ibaraki Prefecture ) is a former Japanese football player .

Career

Nemoto learned to play football in the youth team of Kashima Antlers . He signed his first contract with the Kashima Antlers in 2000. The club played in the highest league in the country, the J1 League . In 2000 he won the Japanese championship title, the J.League Cup and the Imperial Cup with the club . In 2001 he won the J1 League again with the club. For the club, he completed five first division games. In 2002 he moved to the second division club Cerezo Osaka . In 2002 he was runner-up in the J2 League with the club . For the club he completed 34 games. In 2003 he moved to the first division club Vegalta Sendai . For the club he completed 28 first division games. In 2004 he moved to league competitor Ōita Trinita . In 2008 he won the J.League Cup with the club. For the club he completed 100 first division games. In June 2008 he moved to league rivals JEF United Chiba . For the club he completed seven top division games. He then played at Branches Kanazawa . At the end of 2012 he ended his career as a football player.
