Yūji Keigoshi ( Japanese 慶 越 雄 二 , Keigoshi Yūji ; born September 17, 1963 in Kagoshima Prefecture ) is a former Japanese football player .

Career

Keigoshi learned to play soccer on the school team at Kagoshima Jitsugyo High School . He signed his first contract with Matsushita Electric in 1982 . 1985/86 he was with the club champions of the Japan Soccer League Division 2 and rose to Division 1. At the end of the 1986/87 season, the club was relegated to Division 2. In 1987/88 he was runner-up in Division 2 with the club and was promoted to Division 1. In 1990 he won the Kaiser Cup with the club . With the founding of the professional league J.League in 1992 and the associated reorganization of Japanese football, Matsushita Electric became Gamba Osaka . For the club, he completed 46 top division games. In 1993 he moved to league rivals Verdy Kawasaki . With the club he became Japanese champions in 1993 and 1994 . In 1995 he moved to the second division club Fukuoka Blux (today: Avispa Fukuoka). In 1995 he was with the club master of the Japan Football League and rose to the J1 League . In 1997 he moved to league rivals Kyoto Purple Sanga . At the end of 1997 he ended his career as a football player.
