Yūsuke Igawa ( Japanese 井 川 祐 輔 Igawa Yūsuke ; born October 30, 1982 in Osaka Prefecture ) is a former Japanese football player .

Career

Igawa learned to play football in the youth team of Gamba Osaka . He signed his first contract with Gamba Osaka in 2001. The club played in the highest league in the country, the J1 League . In August 2003 he moved to the second division club Sanfrecce Hiroshima . In 2003 he was runner-up in the J2 League with the club and was promoted to the J1 League. For the club he completed 21 league games. In July 2004, he moved to league rivals Nagoya Grampus Eight . For the club he completed 23 first division games. In 2006 he moved to league rivals Kawasaki Frontale . In 2006, 2008 and 2009 he was runner-up in the J1 League with the club. With the club he became Japanese champion in 2017 . For the club he completed 229 first division games. He then played for the Eastern AA . At the end of 2019, he ended his career as a football player.
