Yūsuke Shimada ( Japanese 島 田 裕 介 Shimada Yūsuke ; born January 19, 1982 in Saitama Prefecture ) is a former Japanese football player .

Career

Shimada learned to play soccer on the school team at Seibudai High School . He signed his first contract in 2000 with the Omiya Ardija . The club played in the second highest league in the country, the J2 League . In 2004 he was runner-up with the club in the J2 League and was promoted to the J1 League . For the club, he completed 68 league games. In 2005 he was loaned to the second division Thespa Kusatsu . For the club he completed 46 league games. In 2007 he returned to Omiya Ardija. In 2008 he moved to the second division Thespa Kusatsu . For the club he completed 42 league games. In 2009 he moved to league rivals Sagan Tosu . For the club he completed 50 league games. In 2010 he moved to league rivals Tokushima Vortis . For the club he completed 50 league games. He then played for Gangwon FC . At the end of 2012 he ended his career as a football player.
