Coordinates: 28 ° 20 ′ S , 116 ° 41 ′ E The Shire of Yalgoo is a local government area (LGA) in the Australian state of Western Australia . The area is 28,215 km² and has about 300 inhabitants (2016).
Yalgoo is located in the west of the state about 410 kilometers north of the capital Perth . The seat of the Shire Council is in the village of Yalgoo, where about 275 inhabitants live (2016).

The Yalgoo Council has six members. They are elected by all residents of the LGA. Yalgoo is not divided into districts. The Council Chairman and Shire President are also recruited from among the Councilor.
